How Do I Use Maitake Mushroom?
We prepare the raw maitake mushroom by carefully transforming it into a potent and pure extract powder. During this process, we concentrate the mushroom so that the more contains ten times the amount of nutrients than the raw mushroom. This means that you will be able to receive ten times the goodness in each serving.
The powder is very versatile and easy to use, and you can add it to both sweet and savory dishes. It blends well with soups, stocks, dips and salad dressings. You can also use it to upgrade your smoothies and supercharge your juices. Just add in 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of the powder to your drinks, and stir or blend it until it has fully dissolved. Yes, it’s totally normal to add maitake mushroom to your smoothies! Juicy pineapple combines perfectly with the cooling, electrolyte-filled coconut water to create a tropical tasting drink. We’ve also thrown some kale in there because it's an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, and it helps to take the edge off the sweetness of the pineapple. For an extra cool smoothie, peel the pineapple, cut it into chunks and pop it in the fridge to freeze before using it in this recipe.
You Will Need
- 1/3 of a pineapple
- 2 cups of coconut water (bonus points if you can get it fresh)
- A handful of kale
- 1 tsp of maitake powder
Pour the coconut water into your blender and then add all of the other ingredients. Whizz it up until the whole mixture is smooth, you may need to do this longer than expected to make sure that kale is properly blended. Add more coconut water to create your desired consistency. Enjoy immediately.
Maitake Mushroom Recipe: Simple Chai Mushroom Tea

This warming tea is perfect for cozy mornings, and it can be whipped up in less than a minute. If you have the time, you can create your own chai blend by infusing water with a range of fresh herbs and spices including cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper.
You Will Need
- 1 chai tea bag
- Plant-based milk (almond, coco, or cashew)
- 1 tsp of maitake mushroom complex powder
Pop your chai tea bag into your favourite mug and fill with boiling water. Allow the teabag to infuse the water for your chosen amount of time. Add in a teaspoon of the maitake mushroom complex powder and then stir until it has fully dissolved. Pour in a dash of your plant-based milk and enjoy! If it's hot out and you fancy something a little cooling, just place your maitake chai tea in the fridge, or add in some ice cubes to make a refreshing iced chai latte.
