What Is a Concentrated Extract Powder?

Shiitake Mushroom Dose

A little goes a long way with our shiitake, so we recomend starting with just a 1/2 a teaspoon dose. You can then up the dose to 1 teaspoon of the shiitake powder, and enjoy it up to three times per day. Shiitake mushroom can be enjoyed at anytime throughout the day. We recommend storing your shiitake powder in a cool, dry place in order to preserve its nutrients and shelf-life.

Shiitake Miso Soup

This shiitake recipe is super easy to make and it is perfect when you need something warm and comforting but you don't want to slave over a hot stove for hours. It also makes a great snack, as it can help to satisfy salty, savory cravings - plus it is surprisingly filling too. You can make a large batch of this and keep it in a Thermos flask, and then enjoy it throughout the day. The scallions and nori sheets help to boost the flavor of the miso soup, while also adding in some extra antioxidants, Vitamin K, B12 and iodine. 

You Will Need

  1. Miso
  2. Nori Sheet
  3. Scallions
  4. 1 tsp shiitake extract powder


To make your shiitake miso soup, simply dissolve 3tsp of miso with 1tsp of our shiitake complex into warm water, and then lightly whisk until it has fully dissolved. Finely chop the scallions, and rip up some of the nori sheets and then sprinkle them on top of the miso. Allow the nori sheets to soften for a minute or too. You can even get creative with your miso bowl by adding in other goodies such as vegetables, herbs, and even other types of medicinal mushrooms such as tremella. The shiitake miso soup can be enjoyed warm or cold.

Simple Shiitake Root Juice Recipe

When you think of juices, adding shiitake doesn't usually jump to mind, yet this recipe works particularly well, as the mushroom's earthiness complements the other ingredients. You will need both a juicer and a blender to make this recipe. If possible, sue a cold-press juicer, as it will help to retain more of the nutrients in the fruits and vegetables that you are juicing. 

You Will Need

  1. 4 Apples
  2. 2 large beetroots
  3. Beetroot greens
  4. 1 tsp of shiitake powder


Wash your fruits and vegetables and then cut them into pieces that are small enough to fit into your juicer. Juice all of the fresh ingredients. Transfer the juice into your blender and then add in the shiitake powder. Blend until you create a smooth consistency and all the powder has been blitzed into the juice. Pour over ice and enjoy immediately. You can also freeze the juice into ice cube trays and then use them as pretty pink ice cubes to jazz-up other juices and elixirs.
