What Are the Health Benefits of Pink Pitaya? (Dragon Fruit)
Pink pitaya is packed full of totally tropical goodness, as it is rich in B vitamins, magnesium, antioxidants, and Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids. Pound for pound, pink pitaya contains more vitamin C than carrots. Our freeze-dried powder is rich in fiber which helps the digestive system and makes the powder an excellent addition to a morning smoothie or bowl.
Pink pitaya gets its color because it contains a powerful photochemical called lycopene, which may play a role in protecting the heart and helping to lower blood pressure. Pink pitaya is also a beautifying superfood, as it’s rich in antioxidants including betalains, hydroxycinnamates and flavonoids that have been shown to fight free radical damage and may help to slow down the aging process.
Known as the prettiest superfood around, not only will it beautify your drinks and dishes, but it can also help to support the immune system, aid digestion, and boost energy levels. Pink pitaya has a delicious tropical taste which is similar to a juicy blend of melon, kiwi, and berries. A bonus is that it’s low in fat and slightly sweeter than the white and yellow varieties, so it provides a guilt-free way to enjoy a sweet treat.

What is a Miron Violet Glass Jar?
Miron violet glass is a very special material which is capable of blocking out the entire spectrum of visible light except for violet. This means that the jar is able to protect the nutrients and naturally preserve the powder to extend its shelf-life. Another benefit of the Miron violet glass jar is that it is eco-friendly, as you can reuse it to store foods and homemade treats or simply recycle it.
The ancient Egyptians knew about the incredible power of miron violet glass jars, and they used it to store their precious essential oils, lotions, and ointments. We also use the violet glass jars for our shilajit, matcha and medicinal mushroom complex powders.
How Do I Use Pink Pitaya Powder?
Fresh pink pitaya can be quite hard to get hold of in Europe and America, so our nutrient-rich freeze-dried powder provides a convenient way to add color, more nutrition, and a delicious tropical-taste to your dishes. Because of its high fiber content, our pink pitaya powder is great for enjoying in the morning, although you can choose to eat it anytime of the day.
Use our dragon fruit powder to create your own bright pink smoothie bowls, juices, lattes, ice creams, baked goods and more. You can also sprinkle the powder onto your favorite foods and drinks. Vegan Pink Pitaya Latte Recipe
If you're in need of something a little warming then this pretty pink drink could do the trick. It’s also very simple to make, and will only take a few minutes to put together. We’ve listed almond milk here but you can use any sort of plant-based milk that you choose (bonus points if you make it yourself from scratch).
1 1/2 cups of almond milk
1 tsp of pink pitaya
1 tsp of coconut oil
A dash of vanilla extract
Pour the almond milk into a saucepan and gently warm it up on a low heat. Boil some water in the kettle and pour a small amount of it into a cup. Add the pink pitaya powder and then stir it to make a paste. Scoop the paste into your blender and add the coconut oil and a little more of the cold almond milk. Blitz the mixture until it’s nice and frothy. If it’s not blending properly, then you are going to need to add more cold almond milk. Pour the mixture into the saucepan with the warm almond milk and stir. Pour the liquid into your mug and sprinkle it with a dash of pitaya powder for added prettiness. Enjoy your creamy vegan pink pitaya latte immediately.
